Finance Assistant

We have a fantastic opportunity to join our team as our new Finance Assistant. This is a part time role, working 22.5 hours per week, based at the Arthur Rank Hospice site in Cambridge.

As our Finance Assistant you will work closely with various members of the Finance Team to ensure completion of a variety of financial tasks and contribute to the effective running of the department.  You will support the team with managing the Finance Inbox, completing accounting processes and reconciliation work.

Main duties will include:

  • Supporting the management of the Finance inbox, responding to invoices, timesheets and general queries.
  • Processing purchase invoices ensuring internal procedures are followed
  • Checking statements / invoices, ensuring invoice detail is processed correctly
  • Inputting financial transactions into internal systems
  • Administration tasks relating to finance / payroll processes

To be successful in this role you will have previous experience working within a similar finance or administrative role with experience of Microsoft Office applications and confidence dealing with numerical data.

In return we can offer you the opportunity to join our small, friendly team and be supported in your new role. Whilst your initial training and induction period will need to be completed working on site at our Hospice, we are able to consider options for hybrid working once this is completed.

The hours for this role are 22.5 per week, we are happy for these to be worked over 3 or 4 days and can discuss working patterns at interview. Due to the requirements of the role, we require the postholder to work on a Wednesday and Thursday.

Interviews for this role will be held on 23rd and 24th October.

Please note that the salary quoted is based on full time hours and needs to be pro-rata’d for part time posts. We regret that we are unable to negotiate salary above the maximum stated within the advert.
