The Bistro at Arthur Rank Hospice Charity prides itself on delivering a freshly prepared and home cooked menu of delicious items for our patients, staff and visitors. We now have a fantastic opportunity to join this team as our new Kitchen Assistant!
This is a full-time role, working 37.5 hours per week, based on-site at our Hospice in Cambridge. The role will work on a rota basis which includes every other weekend, and some bank holiday working.
As our Kitchen Assistant you will support our team of Chefs to ensure the smooth running of our kitchen on a day-to-day basis, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, tidiness and service.
Main duties will include:
- Washing kitchen crockery and utensils
- Preparing basic food (salad bar and sandwiches) and assisting with kitchen duties as requested by the Chefs
- Assisting with front of house when required, serving customers and taking payments
- Cleaning kitchen and food preparation areas
- Checking and logging deliveries and ensuring they are properly stored
To be successful in this role candidates must have a good standard of education, have previous experience working in a customer service environment and have a considerate approach towards visitors and patients.
