Administrator

The Hospice at Home team at Arthur Rank Hospice Charity provides care to patients within their own homes across Cambridgeshire. We have an opportunity to join this friendly team as an Administrator based at our Hospice in Cambridge.

This role will provide a full administrative support service to the Hospice at Home Team, liaising with patients and health professionals in a sensitive and professional manner, ensuring information is passed on to all concerned, and data is kept up to date.

Main duties will include:

  • Acting as the first point of contact for enquiries into the office, receiving and relaying messages and take appropriate action
  • Maintaining office diaries, tasks and patient caseloads with our patient data system (SystmOne)
  • Inputting data and patients records, preparing reports on service activity as required
  • Assisting in the administrative management of the team staffing, including annual leave cards, rota and allocations.
  • Setting up and preparing team meetings, taking minutes as required

To be successful in this role candidates should have experience working within a similar administrative role, experience of dealing with confidential / sensitive data and the maintenance and storage of records.

This role will work as part of our friendly team where you will be fully supported , you will be able to make a real difference to the care our patients and their families receive.

This is a full time role, working 37.5 hours per week, standard working hours are Monday – Friday 9am to 5pm.

Starting salary of £24,570, with opportunities to progress to £26,188.

Please note that the salary quoted is based on full time hours and will be pro-rata’d for part time posts. As a Charity with limited funds, it is usual practice for new starters to commence on the minimum of the salary band for the role. Exceptionally, and only for candidates demonstrating significant strengths relevant to the role, we may be able to negotiate on this.
